Directly accountable to the Head of Residential Services, the Manager Adult Residential Withdrawal is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Adult Residential Withdrawal Service and will provide clinical expertise, supervision and support to the staff and residents, including the creation and maintenance of appropriate systems and processes to facilitate programmatic operation.
- Ensure the delivery of effective treatment and interventions.
- Lead considerations and implementation of Trauma informed practice and evidence based best practice that is centred in each individuals’ care
- Contribute to organisation consideration of care planning and ensure service delivery is evidence based, and outcomes focussed.
- Provide continuous oversite and review of the collaborative service model, operational procedures, systems and processes to support high quality delivery of services.
- In collaboration with The Head of Residential Services, examine opportunities for collaboration with other service providers and the broader AOD sector.
- Manage the day-to-day operational processes including in conjunction with the Head of Residential Services the development and ongoing review of systems and processes that ensure effective program delivery.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained and reviewed according to demand and staff capacity is developed to the maximum of their scope of practice.
- Support staff within their performance across domains including clinical practice, professional conduct and professional development including ensuring supervision and annual performance review and development plans are undertaken with all staff.
- Manage rostering and ensure accurate recording of staff hours worked and prepare timekeeping for each pay period.
- Develop and implements innovative solutions for complex client needs.
What we're looking for:
- Experience in management roles within health and community services sector.
- Proven experience working in a residential withdrawal setting, or an environment supporting clients with problematic alcohol, drug, or mental health issues.
- Knowledge of the clinical manifestations of drug and alcohol withdrawal and clinical assessment tools used to measure progress in withdrawal.
- Proven track record of delivering group-based interventions.
- Sound written and oral communication skills, including proven skills in negotiating, developing and managing collaborative relationships with multiple and diverse stakeholders.
- Applied understanding of contemporary standards and evidence-based practice and interventions in AOD context including Alcohol and Drug sector knowledge.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a natural ability to communicate effectively to a diverse group of people including conflict management and resolution.
- Tertiary Qualifications in Health Science, Nursing, Social Work, Psychology or equivalent. Qualifications in AOD.
